A$AP Rocky officially launched his long-awaited Don’t Be Dumb World Tour on May 27 with a sold-out opening night at Chicago’s United Center, delivering a two-hour arena spectacle packed with pyrotechnics, towering visuals, and a setlist that pulled heavily from his first studio album in nearly eight years.

The kickoff marked Rocky’s first headlining tour since 2019’s Injured Generation Tour, and the return was anything but understated. Doors opened at 6 p.m. local time before the main show began shortly after 9 p.m., transforming the 20,000-capacity venue into a cinematic showcase built around the dystopian world of Don’t Be Dumb, his fourth studio album released on January 16, 2026 through AWGE, ASAP Worldwide, and RCA Records.

One of the most talked-about moments of the night came midway through the set, when a massive helicopter prop descended above the stage as Rocky launched into “Stole Ya Flow.” Lasers, bursts of flame, and rapid-fire screen transitions underscored the production’s maximalist direction, matching the album’s high-concept aesthetic.

Support from Rihanna, who was spotted in the crowd alongside friends and family, only added to the event’s buzz.

The setlist leaned heavily on Don’t Be Dumb, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 earlier this year and became Rocky’s first chart-topping debut in more than a decade. New cuts including “Grim Freestyle,” “Trunks,” “Highjack,” “Order of Protection,” and “Helicopter” dominated the opening stretch.

Rocky also made room for signature anthems that defined earlier eras of his catalog, including “Praise the Lord (Da Shine),” “A$AP Forever,” and “Fashion Killa

One response to “A$AP Rocky Brought Helicopters, Pyro and Hits to Don’t Be Dumb Opening Night: Full Setlist”

  1. […] Think helicopters, pyro, and a stage setup scaled for venues like Xfinity Mobile Arena. The Chicago opening night alone featured 34 songs and a guest appearance from Tommy Revenge and Thxto Klk — that’s not a concert, that’s an event.[inmusicblog] […]
