Travis Scott has never been shy about giving credit where it’s due — and this time, the Houston rapper is putting Tame Impala at the top of his list. On Saturday (October 18), Travis took to Instagram Stories to share glowing praise for the Australian musician’s new album Deadbeat, calling it “the best album to come out in the last two years.”
“This is the best album to come out in the last 2 years,” Travis wrote. “Kev, you went crazy. Like super crazy. Like bruh.” He also made it clear that he wants to collaborate with him. “Imma call u soon ‘cause I just need to know something bruhhhhhh. EVERYONE LISTEN, BUY, PLAY AND LIVE TO THIS.”

The co-sign comes as a pleasant surprise to fans who remember the two artists’ previous collaboration on “Skeletons” from Travis’s 2018 classic Astroworld. That track, with its dreamy production and psychedelic tone, remains one of the standout moments on the album — and proof of their undeniable creative chemistry.
Tame Impala — the project of Kevin Parker — released Deadbeat via Columbia Records on Friday (October 17). The album marks his fifth studio project and follows years of anticipation since his 2020 LP The Slow Rush. Parker teased the record with three singles — “Loser,” “End of Summer,” and “Dracula” — all of which made strong debuts on Billboard’s charts.
Described as a “club-psych exploration,” Deadbeat draws heavy inspiration from Australia’s bush doof culture and captures Parker at his most experimental yet direct. The album’s standout single, “My Old Ways,” debuted with over 2.5 million streams on Spotify in 24 hours — his biggest streaming debut to date. The accompanying music video, directed by Kristofski, features behind-the-scenes footage of Parker recording around the world.
To celebrate the release, Tame Impala will embark on a North American tour kicking off October 27 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, followed by multiple arena dates, including a three-night run at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. A major U.K. and European tour is scheduled for spring 2026.
