Travis Kelce is opening up about the behind-the-scenes moment he decided to propose to Taylor Swift, revealing that the plan was already in motion while the couple filmed her iconic New Heights podcast appearance. The NFL star shared the story during the season finale episode of the podcast released on July 8, 2026, marking his first episode since the couple’s wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Kelce explained that Swift’s August 13, 2025 appearance on New Heights became much more than a career milestone for the podcast — it also served as the setting before one of the biggest personal moments of his life. During the nearly two-hour episode, Swift announced her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, revealing its title, cover art, tracklist and October 3, 2025 release date.
