50 Cent has officially confirmed one of the most unexpected hip-hop collaborations in years. During a new interview, the rapper revealed that a song featuring himself, Eminem, and unreleased vocals from Tupac Shakur is on the way as the official theme for the upcoming Street Fighter movie.
Speaking with TODAY, 50 Cent shut down speculation that artificial intelligence played any role in bringing Tupac onto the record. “I got some music that I’m working on. I did something currently, me, Eminem, and Tupac… It’s not AI… It’s for the theme for Street Fighter the movie. We worked on it and got it right. It’ll be coming out shortly,” he said.
The announcement marks the latest development in 50 Cent’s involvement with the Street Fighter reboot, which is scheduled to hit theaters on October 16, 2026. Beyond contributing music, the rapper is also set to portray iconic boxer Balrog, making the theme song another major part of his return to blockbuster filmmaking.
According to 50 Cent, Tupac’s contributions come from authentic, previously unheard recordings that were cleared by the late rapper’s estate. The collaboration follows the model of earlier official releases built around unreleased Tupac material, including 2003’s “The Realist Killaz,” which paired 50 Cent with archived verses from the rap legend.
The collaboration also fulfills a tease that dates back several months. In December 2025, 50 Cent hinted on Instagram that he planned to reunite with Eminem for the Street Fighter soundtrack.
The history between 50 Cent and Eminem stretches back more than two decades. After Eminem and Dr. Dre signed the Queens rapper to Shady Records and Aftermath Entertainment in 2002, the pair launched a run of classics that included “Patiently Waiting,” “Don’t Push Me,” “You Don’t Know,” and the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Crack a Bottle.” While their professional relationship experienced periods of distance during the 2010s, both artists have consistently expressed mutual respect, with 50 frequently crediting Eminem for changing the trajectory of his career.
