Cardi B addressed her ongoing feud with BIA immediately after the 2026 BET Awards, asking fans to avoid targeting the rapper online despite performing her pointed diss track “Pretty & Petty” during the ceremony. The Bronx star made the comments during an Instagram Live shortly after leaving the Peacock Theater on June 28.
Fresh off winning Best Female Hip Hop Artist, Cardi reflected on the performance and made it clear that lyrical competition should not turn into online harassment. Speaking directly to viewers, she said, “Please don’t pick on that girl. I am very big against Internet bullying, unless my fans have to…”
She continued by explaining why the issue feels personal. “I don’t want to be the reason why somebody gets on the Internet and has a bad day or gets depressed or feels bad or feels like the world is against them. Because I really went through that before.”
The message came just minutes after Cardi delivered one of the night’s most talked-about performances. During “Pretty & Petty,” a standout track from her Billboard 200-topping album Am I The Drama?, she leaned into the song’s lyrical jabs at BIA by bringing her own awards onstage, reinforcing references already made in the record. The performance quickly reignited conversation surrounding the rivalry that has simmered between the two rappers since 2024.
Cardi’s latest remarks are also consistent with how she handled the feud last year. In October 2025, she revealed that she intentionally postponed the music video for “Pretty & Petty” because it coincided with the release of BIA’s debut album Bianca. At the time, Cardi explained during an Instagram Live that she did not want to add pressure to BIA’s album day, saying she preferred not to contribute to the stress surrounding the release.
Meanwhile, the BET Awards victory added another milestone to Cardi’s remarkable year. Powered by the success of Am I The Drama? and the Little Miss Drama Tour, she extended her legacy by claiming another Best Female Hip Hop Artist trophy.
