Drake appears to be wasting no time returning to the studio. New photos shared online show the Toronto superstar recording fresh vocals inside his cozy home setup at The Embassy, fueling speculation that another project could already be in the works just months after his historic triple-album run.
One image captures Drake seated in front of a professional studio microphone, surrounded by warm lighting, a patterned rug, modern furniture, and a lit fireplace. Behind him, a television displays HBO’s House of the Dragon, prompting plenty of fan reactions online. While some praised the rapper’s relentless work ethic, others focused on the unexpected viewing choice, with one fan joking, “ain’t no way Drake’s watching HOTD bro.”
The latest images arrive during one of the most successful periods of Drake’s career. In May 2026, he stunned the music industry by simultaneously releasing ICEMAN, Maid of Honour, and Habibti, a blockbuster rollout that immediately rewrote Billboard and streaming records.
ICEMAN debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 463,000 equivalent album units, while Habibti and Maid of Honour opened at Nos. 2 and 3. The unprecedented feat made Drake the first artist ever to debut three albums simultaneously inside the chart’s top three. Streaming numbers told the same story. Drake became Spotify’s most-streamed artist in a single day of 2026, while ICEMAN delivered the platform’s biggest album opening of the year. Lead single “Make Them Cry” generated more than 13.2 million Spotify streams during its first 24 hours, setting a new single-day streaming record for a hip-hop song.
The studio photos also follow Drake’s reflective Instagram post from late July, where he looked back on the previous two years with the caption, “I spent the last 24 months proving myself right. Of course I’m about to have the summer of my life.”
