The announcement follows weeks of anticipation for the album. Originally announced for October 23 through Motown, GMFU, short for “Got Me F—ed Up,” was positioned as a defiant statement from the former Migos member after a turbulent period in his personal and professional life.

Offset first teased the project earlier in the summer before confirming the October 23 release date in early October. During Paris Fashion Week, he reiterated the date on Instagram with an explicit message aimed at those he felt had turned against him during difficult times. The rapper later explained the album’s motivation during an appearance on Apple Music’s New Music Daily, describing a desire to move past distractions and refocus on the music that initially brought him into the industry.
The new date, “11:13,” appears to point to November 13, 2026, although Offset has not provided additional details in the announcement. The brief update comes after the album failed to appear on Spotify and other streaming platforms on October 23, leaving fans without an explanation for the missed release. No tracklist or complete guest lineup has been officially confirmed.
GMFU is expected to become Offset’s fourth studio album, following Father of 4 (2019), Set It Off (2023) and his 2025 projects KIARI and Haunted by Fame.
Two singles have helped introduce the album’s direction. “Something I Need” arrived earlier in the rollout, followed by “Every Night,” a collaboration with Don Toliver released on October 9. Produced by Jaasu, the darker track reworks the atmosphere of Jodeci’s “Freek’n You” into a contemporary rap and R&B setting. Its accompanying music video takes place in a casino, matching the song’s late-night mood. Offset has described the collaboration as a natural pairing, pointing to the chemistry he shares with Toliver.
