Lee Know is known for his exceptional dancing, distinctive stage presence, and contributions to Stray Kids, but how much do you really know about the K-pop star? From his early days as a professional dancer to his journey through JYP Entertainment’s survival show and his evolution into one of Stray Kids’ main performers, his career has included several memorable milestones.
Born Lee Min-ho, Lee Know developed his dancing skills before entering the K-pop industry. In 2016, he competed at World of Dance as part of the dance crew Cupcakes, gaining experience that would later prove valuable on some of the biggest stages in K-pop. Before becoming an idol himself, he also worked as a backup dancer for BTS, appearing in the group’s “Not Today” music video and accompanying them on performances during their 2017 The Wings Tour.
His path to debuting with Stray Kids was not entirely straightforward. JYP Entertainment first contacted him in 2015 after he was noticed at a dance competition. He auditioned with John Park’s “Thought of You” but initially heard nothing back and assumed he had failed. In July 2017, he finally joined the company, becoming the last member of Stray Kids to enter JYP Entertainment.
Lee Know’s journey took another unexpected turn when he participated in the survival show Stray Kids. He was eliminated in the fourth episode after making a mistake while rapping, alongside Felix. However, both contestants eventually returned to the competition and earned the opportunity to debut with the group in its final episode. Stray Kids released their pre-debut EP Mixtape in January 2018 before officially debuting on March 25, 2018, with I Am Not.
Since debuting, Lee Know has established himself as one of Stray Kids’ main dancers while also contributing vocals and rap to the group’s music. Outside the group’s performances, he has explored television presenting, becoming a host of MBC’s Show! Music Core in August 2021 alongside Jungwoo of NCT and Minju. His work in entertainment has demonstrated that his talents extend beyond the stage.
Lee Know has also developed a varied collection of solo and collaborative music through Stray Kids’ SKZ-Record and SKZ-Player projects. His releases include the solo track “Limbo,” “Drive” with Bang Chan, and “Want So Bad” with Han. He also choreographed “Dawn” with Vio Kim and Jeong Wookjin. In 2024, he performed his unreleased solo song “Youth” during the group’s Dominate World Tour, and the track later appeared on Stray Kids’ album Hop, released on December 13, 2024.
In 2025, Lee Know continued exploring music beyond Stray Kids’ regular releases. He joined fellow members Seungmin and I.N on “Start!,” a song featured on the soundtrack of the tvN medical drama Resident Playbook, released on April 12, 2025.
