Today marks the 36th birthday of a true music icon: Adele. Over the years, the “Hello” singer has repeatedly proven herself to be one of the biggest artists in history. She has amassed an impressive 173 music awards, including 16 Grammys, an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and 12 Brit Awards. With albums like “21” and “25” and timeless songs such as “Rolling in the Deep,” “Someone Like You,” “Hello,” and the most recent “Easy On Me,” she has solidified her status as a powerhouse in the music industry and one of the greatest voices of the 21st century. With her unique vocals and heartfelt lyrics, the London-born superstar has influenced a generation of artists. Throughout her decades-long career, Adele has not only blessed us with her music but also provided several hilarious moments. So, let’s take a trip down memory lane to celebrate her birthday and recall the moment when she transformed into the Queen of Rap, Nicki Minaj.

It was a cold January in 2016 when Adele, having recently released the masterpiece “25,” graced the segment Carpool Karaoke on The Late Late Show with James Corden. The host warmly welcomed the pop star with applause and appreciation before they began singing her hit song “Hello.” Adele shared anecdotes about getting drunk while waiting for a friend and impulsively buying concert tickets for herself. Amidst singing and laughter, Adele reflected on her music career, delivering some of her biggest hits with masterful skill. As she soulfully sang, “Sometimes it lasts in love, and sometimes it hurts instead,” James teased her about her supposed hidden rap talent. “I heard you are quite the rapper,” he quipped. Adele, modest but playful, denied being a talented rapper, saying, “I’m not that talented on my own,” but admitted to knowing some lyrics. Then, to everyone’s surprise, she flawlessly delivered Nicki Minaj‘s “Monster,” showcasing incredible RAPPING SKILLS that left viewers in awe. Now, time has flown by, and we find ourselves in 2024 with numerous changes. Adele’s “25” remained her last album for six years until she released “30” in 2021. Three years have already passed since then! The Late Late Show with James Corden concluded over a year ago, on April 27, 2023, and the final Carpool Karaoke featured none other than Adele herself!
