BTS has become the first and only group and Asian act in history to spend 700 days in the Top 10 of Spotify’s Daily Top Artists Global Chart, adding another milestone to the group’s unprecedented streaming success. The achievement reflects the septet’s sustained presence among the world’s most-streamed artists across multiple phases of its career.
The record covers cumulative days in the chart’s Top 10, rather than a single uninterrupted streak. Even during periods when the members were less active as a group, BTS continued to attract substantial streaming numbers.

The group’s latest surge has coincided with the release of ARIRANG, its fifth studio album, on March 20, 2026, following the members’ completion of mandatory South Korean military service. The comeback delivered one of the biggest streaming debuts of the year, generating more than 110 million Spotify streams on its first day. All 14 tracks entered the Daily Top Songs Global chart’s Top 14, led by “SWIM,” which debuted at No. 1 with approximately 14 million streams.
ARIRANG continued to build momentum well beyond its opening day. The album surpassed 1 billion Spotify streams in 16 days and reached 4 billion in 139 days, setting further milestones for a group and an Asian act. By mid-October, it had crossed 5 billion streams, making it Spotify’s most-streamed album of 2026, roughly 2 billion streams ahead of its closest competitor. Every track on the project, including the instrumental “No. 29,” has surpassed 200 million streams, while “SWIM” has crossed the 1 billion mark.
That success has translated into a broader annual record for BTS. By mid-October, the group had become the first group to exceed 10 billion Spotify streams within a single calendar year, more than doubling its approximately 4.5 billion streams in 2025. ARIRANG alone accounted for around half of the 2026 total, underlining the scale of the comeback and the continued demand for the group’s music.
The album also made a major impact on the U.S. charts, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and spending three weeks at the summit. BTS is now carrying that momentum onto the ARIRANG world tour, which has brought the group back to audiences across Asia, North America, Europe, and Latin America.
