CORTIS made a major statement at Lollapalooza Chicago 2026, drawing an estimated 50,000 fans for their first U.S. festival performance. The BigHit Music boy group delivered an energetic 40-minute set at Grant Park’s T-Mobile Stage, marking one of the biggest milestones of their first year as a group.
According to a report from Naver, CORTIS performed for a massive crowd that filled the area in front of the stage despite challenging weather conditions throughout the day. The group performed 11 songs without a break.
The performance took place on August 1, 2026, as part of Lollapalooza Chicago’s four-day festival lineup. Originally scheduled for 2:55 p.m. CT, CORTIS’ set was delayed until approximately 3:40 p.m. due to weather conditions that left parts of Grant Park muddy and difficult to navigate.
Even before the show began, fans gathered around the T-Mobile Stage to welcome the only K-pop boy group included on this year’s Lollapalooza lineup. The appearance marked a significant international breakthrough for James, Juhoon, Martin, Seonghyeon and Keonho, who debuted less than a year earlier in August 2025.
The group’s Lollapalooza set arrived at the peak of momentum surrounding their second EP GREENGREEN. Released in May 2026, the project debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and reached No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart, selling 81,500 pure copies in the United States during its opening week. In South Korea, the EP surpassed 2.3 million first-week sales, while title track “REDRED” earned multiple music show victories.
CORTIS opened their festival set with “GO!” and “What You Want” from their debut EP COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES before moving through highlights from GREENGREEN, including “REDRED,” “ACAI,” “YCC,” “Wassup” and “TNT.” The performance also featured the live debut of “MOTION (feat. Juicy J),” which arrived just one day before their Lollapalooza appearance.
The global reach of the performance extended far beyond Chicago. Around 167,000 viewers watched the set through Weverse Live, while Disney+ streaming numbers showed audiences tuning in from 185 countries and regions, according to BigHit Music through Naver’s report.
Following the historic festival appearance, CORTIS expressed their excitement about performing at one of the world’s biggest music festivals. Through their agency, the members shared that the atmosphere they imagined while creating GREENGREEN became reality on the Lollapalooza stage and promised to bring the same energy to upcoming shows in North America, Seoul and Japan.
The performance also arrives during the group’s ongoing Put Your Phone Down World Tour, which began with two sold-out concerts at Inspire Arena in Incheon before expanding internationally.
