CORTIS made a memorable first impression at Lollapalooza 2026 on Saturday (Aug. 1), bringing their explosive live show to Chicago’s Grant Park for the group’s first-ever U.S. festival performance. Fans packed the stage to welcome the only K-pop boy group on this year’s lineup, while weather delays pushed their scheduled 2:55 p.m. CT performance to approximately 3:40 p.m.
The appearance came less than 24 hours after the surprise release of “MOTION (feat. Juicy J),” giving fans the first opportunity to experience the collaboration live. From the opening moments, CORTIS showcased the sharp choreography, polished vocals and youthful energy that have fueled their recent rise.
Consisting of James, Juhoon, Martin, Seonghyeon and Keonho, the BigHit Music group leaned heavily on material from its second EP GREENGREEN, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart after selling 81,500 pure copies in its opening U.S. week. The project also surpassed 2.3 million first-week sales in South Korea, with title track “REDRED” earning multiple music show victories.
The set opened with fan favorites “GO!” and “What You Want” before transitioning into the group’s biggest hits, including “REDRED,” “ACAI” and the live debut of “MOTION (feat. Juicy J).”
Saturday’s performance represented another milestone in the group’s remarkable first year. Since debuting in August 2025 with COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES, CORTIS has rapidly expanded beyond Korea through chart success, strong physical album sales and a growing international fanbase.
Their Lollapalooza appearance also arrives during the ongoing Put Your Phone Down World Tour, which kicked off with two sold-out nights at Inspire Arena in Incheon before heading across North America. Upcoming stops include Toronto, New York, Atlanta, Irving, Los Angeles and San Francisco, with the Los Angeles concert also receiving a global cinema live broadcast.
