Jennie sparked new speculation about upcoming music while attending the Paris Fashion Week on March 9. The BLACKPINK star appeared at the latest runway presentation by Chanel.

Stopped by reporters, Jennie was asked whether fans could expect new music this year. The singer offered a teasing but cautious response. “I need to keep it a secret,” she said with a smile, before adding, “but hopefully there’s more music for you guys.” When a journalist followed up by asking directly about a new album, the artist laughed and replied, “I’m just gonna smile!”

The brief exchange was enough to reignite anticipation among fans, many of whom have been closely watching Jennie’s next moves following the success of her debut solo era. Last week, the K-pop idol celebrated the first anniversary of her album Ruby.

Released on March 7, 2025 through ODD ATELIER in partnership with Columbia Records, Ruby represented Jennie’s first full-length solo album after her departure from YG Entertainment and Interscope Records in 2023.

To mark the milestone, Jennie released Ruby (The Complete Collection) on March 6, 2026, an expanded version that revisits the era with additional material and previously limited tracks.

At the same time, she continues to experience success with BLACKPINK. The group’s latest project Deadline recently debuted in the top tier of the Billboard 200, earning the quartet another top 10 entry on the U.S. albums chart. Across the Atlantic, the release also performed strongly, landing in the Top 20 of the UK Albums Chart.
