One of the biggest release nights of 2026 has arrived. As the clock strikes midnight, fans around the world will finally hear long-awaited new music from JENNIE, Tyla, Charli XCX and KATSEYE.
JENNIE headlines the night with “Less Than a Lover,” her first solo release since 2025’s critically acclaimed debut album Ruby. The BLACKPINK star confirmed that the single will arrive at 12 a.m. EDT (1 p.m. KST) alongside a music video directed by JENNIE herself, marking another milestone in her creative independence following the launch of her label, Odd Atelier.
Excitement surrounding the track has been building since JENNIE debuted it live during Governors Ball in New York before performing it again at Roskilde Festival and Open’er Festival earlier this month. Promotion intensified through cryptic teasers, including a mysterious photo featuring an unidentified man and a message shared through her Instagram broadcast channel reading, “The summer I chose to pause the love story.” Even more notably, JENNIE is credited as the song’s sole songwriter and composer, placing her artistic vision entirely at the center of the release.
Another major arrival comes from Tyla, whose sophomore album A*POP officially drops tonight. The 14-track record follows her global breakthrough debut and arrives after months of anticipation fueled by singles including “Chanel,” “She Did It Again” featuring Zara Larsson, and “Is It Love.” The campaign also included exclusive YouTube listening sessions in London, Atlanta and New York, giving selected fans an early preview of the project.
Speaking about the album, Tyla explained that A*POP reflects a more mature version of herself after the whirlwind success of her debut. Recording primarily in Los Angeles and Barcelona throughout 2025, she described the songwriting as her most personal work yet, saying she was finally “living what I’m singing.”
Charli XCX is also set to release her seventh studio album, Music, Fashion, Film, continuing the momentum created by the cultural phenomenon of BRAT. Rather than recreating the formula that defined her previous era, Charli has positioned the new album as a creative reset shaped by alternative pop, electronic experimentation and rock influences.
Meanwhile, KATSEYE return with the new single “Animal,” accompanied by a music video. The first teaser immediately established a darker visual identity, trading bright pop imagery for shadow-filled corridors, crimson lighting and high-fashion styling.
The release arrives just weeks before the group’s documentary film, KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS, premieres in cinemas worldwide on August 12, followed two days later by the release of the group’s third EP, WILD.
