NCT 127 are officially entering a new era. On July 26, the group announced that its seventh studio album, BLINGY, will arrive on August 24, 2026, marking their first full-length comeback in two years and the beginning of a milestone chapter as they celebrate their 10th anniversary.
The announcement arrived alongside a cryptic teaser video featuring bursts of shimmering light, a glowing star-shaped emblem, and stylized BLINGY lettering floating across a vivid green backdrop before revealing the SM Entertainment logo. While the preview offers no music, it immediately signals the start of the group’s next major album campaign.
BLINGY follows 2024’s WALK, which debuted on July 15 and became an important turning point in NCT 127’s history. The album featured 11 tracks led by its title song “Walk” and ultimately became the final NCT release to include both Taeil and Mark. Taeil departed the group one month after the album’s release, while Mark officially concluded his activities with NCT and SM Entertainment on April 8, 2026, following what the company described as a mutual decision reached after extensive discussions.
As a result, BLINGY represents the group’s first full album following those lineup changes. The comeback will feature Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Jaehyun, and Haecha. Even with the adjusted lineup, anticipation has remained high as fans have waited for the group’s first studio project since WALK.
The comeback also arrives during a symbolic year for NCT 127. Since debuting in July 2016, the group has established itself as one of K-pop’s defining acts through a string of commercially successful releases, international tours, and Billboard chart achievements. Their experimental production, synchronized performances, and willingness to push musical boundaries have consistently distinguished them within the industry.
