TAEYONG returns with “Rock Solid,” a high-impact new single featuring Anderson .Paak that doubles as his first release in over two years. The track arrives April 17, 2026 via SM Entertainment, setting the tone for his upcoming full-length album expected in May.

Built on punchy drum patterns and a chant-driven hook, “Rock Solid” leans into a muscular hip-hop framework while still leaving room for stylistic crossover. TAEYONG’s sharp delivery anchors the record, balancing rapid-fire verses with a controlled, almost melodic cadence. His performance pushes themes of conviction and self-assurance, reflecting a period of recalibration following his last solo cycle. In contrast, Anderson .Paak brings a looser, groove-heavy energy, weaving funk textures into the production and widening the track’s sonic palette.

The collaboration marks a long-awaited pairing for TAEYONG, who has been vocal about wanting to work with .Paak. “I’ve wanted to work with Anderson for a long time, and this track felt like the perfect way to bring our styles together,” he said. “Shooting the music video was also so much fun – he’s someone who’s always pushing creative boundaries, and that energy really inspired me to do the same.”

That sense of creative control has defined TAEYONG’s solo output since his debut mini album SHALALA in 2023, which established him as a hands-on artist involved in both writing and production. The follow-up project TAP in 2024 expanded that approach, with credits across multiple tracks and a noticeable shift toward more experimental structures. Both releases drew strong critical response.

“Rock Solid” feels like a continuation rather than a reset. The song is now available on all streaming platforms.
