UNIS will officially conclude its group activities on September 26, 2026, as its exclusive management contract with F&F Entertainment reaches the end of its originally scheduled two-and-a-half-year term. The company confirmed the decision in a notice addressed to the group’s fans, EverAfters, following discussions with the eight members about their contracts and future plans.
F&F Entertainment said the company and UNIS had “continuously discussed the contract period and the direction of their future activities” before ultimately agreeing to conclude the group’s official activities as planned. The agency thanked Hyeonju, Nana, Gehlee, Kotoko, Yunha, Elisia, Yoona and Seowon for the stages and memories they created under the UNIS name, while also promising to support them as they pursue their individual paths.

The decision comes after two years and six months together, beginning with the group’s formation through SBS’s Universe Ticket and continuing through their debut on March 27, 2024. UNIS was created from a field of 82 contestants on the survival show, bringing together members from South Korea, Japan, the Philippines and other countries. The group’s name combines “U&I Story” and “Universe Is Starting.”
UNIS launched with the mini-album We UNIS and its title track “Superwoman,” establishing the group’s bright pop identity. Their first year continued with the single album Curious in August 2024, followed by Swicy in April 2025. The latter earned UNIS their first music-show win, marking a significant milestone during their relatively short run.
Their activities continued across both Korean and Japanese markets. The group released digital singles including “See You In My Dream,” while expanding its Japanese discography with the mini-album UNI☆Sparkle! in July 2026. Japanese releases such as “MoshiMoshi♡” and “GimmeSummer☆” added another dimension to their international presence.
UNIS also remained active in the final weeks of their contract. The group released the remake single “Sky Land, Star Land” in early September, with another digital single, “Milky Way,” scheduled for September 23, just three days before the contract officially expires.
