HANA move with purpose on their self-titled debut album, HANA. The 11-track project, released via Sony Music Japan and No Label Music, feels less like an introduction and more like a statement of arrival.
Formed through the BMSG × CHANMINA “No No Girls” project, the septet has built steady momentum since debuting in April 2025. Multiple No. 1 debuts on Billboard Japan and more than 100 million cumulative streams positioned them as one of the country’s most promising emerging acts. With HANA, they consolidate that early success into a cohesive body of work that balances ambition with emotional clarity.
At its core, the album thrives on contrast. The title track “ALL IN” opens with a heavy, rock-leaning arrangement before pivoting into trap-driven rhythms. It is bold without feeling forced. Notably, all seven members contributed to the writing and composition.
Elsewhere, “Bloom” softens the edges. Produced in collaboration with Matt Cab, known for work with global acts including BTS and RADWIMPS, the track leans into airy harmonies and fluid melodies. Previously released singles such as “Drop,” “Blue Jeans,” “NON STOP,” and “ROSE” add dimension, showing the group’s range across polished pop and high-energy performance tracks.
The album closes with “Tiger,” recorded live. It is a deliberate choice. Stripped of studio gloss, the performance highlights the members’ vocal strength and collective chemistry.
