YouTube’s biggest 24-hour music video debuts have remained remarkably difficult to challenge, with BTS and BLACKPINK dominating the upper reaches of the all-time ranking. Now, LISA has pushed herself back into the conversation with “SaWaDiKa,” which opened with 70.8 million views in its first 24 hours.
The benchmark was set by BTS’ “Butter,” which generated 108.2 million views following its May 21, 2021 release. The Guinness World Record holder arrived with a massive global premiere and quickly became one of the defining music videos of the pandemic era, while BTS’ “Dynamite” remains in second place with 101.1 million views.

BLACKPINK owns the next three positions with Pink Venom,” “How You Like That” and “Ice Cream,” featuring Selena Gomez. The numbers reflect the extraordinary scale of the groups’ global fandoms, which have repeatedly turned major releases into synchronized worldwide viewing events.
LISA’s “LALISA” sits just behind it with 73.6 million views. Her September 2021 solo debut remains the biggest 24-hour music video opening by a solo artist, a record she has now come close to reclaiming with her latest release.
“SaWaDiKa” registered 70.8 million views in its first 24 hours, making it the biggest music-video debut of 2026 so far and the second-biggest opening by a solo artist in YouTube history. The result also gives LISA the top two soloist positions in the all-time ranking, with both “LALISA” and “SaWaDiKa” surpassing 70 million views.
