Dropping just nine months after CHROMAKOPIA, the new project marks a bold pivot into dance-heavy, funk-infused territory—offering high-energy grooves, off-kilter melodies, and a clear mission: get people moving.
Released without any singles or tracklist, Don’t Tap The Glass arrived on July 21 with zero fanfare but maximum impact. It’s a tight 10-track experience packed with hidden features from major artists like Baby Keem, Pharrell Williams, and Busta Rhymes. But the real magic lies in Tyler’s production. At just under 30 minutes, the album is compact, but every second pulses with life—blending layered textures, warm basslines, and rhythmic unpredictability.
In a note posted shortly after the album’s release, Tyler shared the inspiration behind the record: a desire to break through the fear of being watched, judged, or turned into a meme. “This album was not made for sitting still,” he wrote. “Dancing, driving, running—any type of movement is recommended to maybe understand the spirit of it.”
