KATSEYE’s Lara Raj has pushed back against rumors that the group’s members went partying after their November 3 concert in Detroit was postponed, calling the claims false and questioning why anyone would believe the label had approved such a decision. The singer also made clear that she would much rather have been performing at Little Caesars Arena than attending a party.
The controversy began after KATSEYE announced that its Detroit show had been postponed 30 minutes before doors were scheduled to open. The decision was made because Megan Skiendiel was ill and unable to perform, leaving fans frustrated after some had already traveled to the venue or made arrangements to attend the concert.

Shortly after the announcement, clips circulated on TikTok and sparked claims that the other members had gone to a party instead of preparing to perform. Lara addressed the speculation in a Weverse direct message and audio response, rejecting the narrative and expressing frustration over the accusations.
“Do you really think like our label would allow this? Do you really think this would be okay, for us to be like, ‘Yeah, we just wanna cancel the show and go party’,” she said. Lara then explained how much performing means to her, adding: “I would much rather be in a fucking arena doing what I love, and what I worked so hard to achieve, and make people happy, than go to a random party in Detroit.”
Her response comes as KATSEYE faces a difficult stretch on its Wildworld Tour. Following the Detroit postponement, the group also had to postpone its November 5 concert at Chicago’s United Center because of Megan’s concussion. The venue advised fans not to travel to the arena, confirming that tickets would remain valid for the rescheduled date. Those unable to attend the new date would be eligible for refunds, while VIP packages and soundcheck upgrades would carry over.
Shortly after, KATSEYE postponed its scheduled performance at Minneapolis’ Target Center. Replacement dates for the affected shows had not been announced in the information provided.
The Wildworld Tour is KATSEYE’s first arena concert run and supports its third EP, Wild. Initially featuring 27 dates across Europe and North America, the schedule was subsequently expanded, with 11 additional performances announced for Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The tour has also faced other lineup changes: Manon Bannerman has been on hiatus since February 2026, while Sophia Laforteza missed the European and North American legs for health reasons and is expected to return to group activities in January 2027.
