The Recording Academy has officially invited nearly 3,600 new members to join its 2025 class—and among them are rising pop star Addison Rae, K-pop girl group KATSEYE, and música mexicana powerhouse Grupo Firme. The 2025 class marks a full-circle moment for several of these artists. Following the release of her debut EP AR in 2023, Addison Rae has seen a steady rise, culminating in her self-titled debut album, which features hit tracks like “Diet Pepsi” and “Headphones On.” KATSEYE—formed through HYBE and Geffen Records’ global talent show The Debut: Dream Academy—broke through in 2024 with their debut EP SIS and the hit single “Touch.” The girl group recently followed up with a second mini-album, Beautiful Chaos, featuring global hits “Gabriela” and “Gnarly.”

For Grupo Firme, the invitation represents yet another milestone. The winners of the Best Banda Album at the 2021 Latin GRAMMYs have played a pivotal role in bringing música mexicana to mainstream audiences in recent years.

Other notable invitees include Nikki Glaser, Joey Bada$$, Monaleo, and Mariah the Scientist.
