Thursday night’s release calendar arrives packed with major pop rollouts, global collaborations, and one of K-pop’s most anticipated albums of the year.
Olivia Rodrigo returns with “the cure,” the second single from her upcoming third studio album you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, due June 12. Running nearly five minutes, the Dan Nigro-produced track officially becomes the longest song in Rodrigo’s catalog so far. Rodrigo previously described the song as “one of my favorite songs I’ve ever made.” The release also arrives alongside a cinematic music video plus limited-edition 7-inch vinyl and cassette versions featuring an exclusive demo titled “Never Do.” Momentum surrounding the era has already been massive following “drop dead,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 last month.
Meanwhile, FIFA officially launched its 2026 World Cup soundtrack era with “Goals,” a globe-spanning collaboration between BLACKPINK’s LISA, Brazilian superstar Anitta, and Nigerian hitmaker Rema. Released May 21 through FIFA Sound, SALXCO UAM, and Def Jam, the track merges booming EDM production with Brazilian funk, Afrobeats, and stadium-ready pop hooks. FIFA has already confirmed that LISA, Anitta, and Rema will perform the song live during the World Cup opening ceremony at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on June 12.
K-pop powerhouse LE SSERAFIM kicks off a major new chapter with PUREFLOW Pt. 1, their second full-length studio album. The project follows April’s pre-release single “Celebration” and arrives led by the explosive title track “BOOMPALA.”
