Ariana Grande is finally gearing for her return to the stage, and she just revealed what brought her back. In a new episode of the Shut Up Evan! podcast, the pop icon shared the emotional reason behind her decision to launch the Eternal Sunshine Tour, her first global run in seven years. The “Twilight Zone” singer admitted that touring again wasn’t an easy choice, but one she felt deeply connected to on a personal level.
“I’m gonna be really sad if I don’t sing [‘Eternal Sunshine’],” Grande confessed. “I love this album and I need to sing it. I think that would be a really special experience for me and my fans. Also, how beautiful to re-imagine my relationship to touring in this baby step way. It’ll heal something. It’s going to be fun to see the fans.”
Ariana also revealed that fans shouldn’t expect another tour anytime soon after this one, confirming that the Eternal Sunshine Tour will be her only major live cycle for the foreseeable future.

The Eternal Sunshine Tour — which begins June 6, 2026, in Oakland, California — is already one of next year’s most anticipated pop events. In the U.K., overwhelming demand led Grande to add five extra nights at London’s O2 Arena, extending her stay to a record-breaking ten-show residency. Originally slated for August 15–23, she will now also perform on August 24, 27, 28, 31, and September 1, making it one of the venue’s biggest pop residencies in recent years.
Across North America, tickets sold out within minutes, prompting additional shows in Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Boston, and Chicago. Fans reported virtual queues stretching into the thousands, with many expressing frustration over resellers inflating prices — an issue Grande herself acknowledged publicly following the ticket rush.
The Eternal Sunshine Tour supports Grande’s 2024 album Eternal Sunshine and its deluxe edition Brighter Days Ahead, both of which debuted at No. 1 worldwide. The album spawned several hit singles, including “Yes, And?” and “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love).”
