Ariana Grande is giving petal another streaming-era boost with a surprise release centered on the album’s title track. The pop superstar has dropped the “petal” bundle, featuring an “angry version” of the song alongside a cappella and instrumental versions, now available across streaming platforms.
The release adds another chapter to an album cycle that has already delivered major commercial milestones for Ariana Grande. While the original “petal” introduced listeners to one of the defining tracks of her latest studio album, the new bundle gives fans three alternative ways to experience the song.

The surprise drop follows petal (the completely live album), which arrived on September 8, five weeks after the studio album’s July 31 release. The 12-track collection featured live renditions of every song on petal, capturing the material as performed during Grande’s Eternal Sunshine Tour. Unlike the new streaming bundle, the live album was initially made available exclusively through iTunes for $9.99.
The title track has been one of the album’s strongest performers. “petal” debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Ariana Grande’s 24th career Top 10 hit. Its success came alongside “hate that i made you love me,” which reached No. 1 before rebounding to No. 2 following the album’s arrival.
Released on July 31, petal debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 295,000 equivalent album units in the United States. It marked Grande’s seventh chart-topping album and her biggest debut of the 2020s. The project also generated more than 249 million global Spotify streams during its first week, including over 62 million on its opening day.
