The Path to Brighter Days Ahead
Since the release of Eternal Sunshine, Ariana Grande has hinted at more material for this musical era. Speculation about a deluxe edition grew when the 31-year-old pop star shared a photo that appeared to be from a music video set. During the 2025 Oscars, Ariana confirmed the plans for a deluxe version and encouraged fans to keep an eye on her social media for updates. Another significant clue came on the album’s first anniversary, March 7, when she teased the deluxe edition with a cryptic Instagram video posted on the account “Brighter Days.” The video showed items being burned in a box, sparking speculation that Brighter Days could be the title of the expanded release. Ariana then officially announced that Eternal Sunshine: Brighter Days Ahead will be released on March 28.
Short Film
Along with the album release, Ariana Grande co-directed the short film Brighter Days Ahead with Christian Breslauer. The film continues the story of Peaches, a character first introduced in the music video for We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love), and is inspired by the 2004 film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
To promote both the album and the film, Grande announced exclusive screenings of Brighter Days Ahead in four U.S. cities—Boca Raton, Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City—on March 30, 2025.
