The Path to American Heart

Benson Boone had a memorable 2024. He experienced his breakthrough with the global hit “Beautiful Things,” which topped numerous charts, including the UK Singles Chart. Riding that wave, Benson unleashed his debut studio album, Fireworks & Rollerblades, further cementing his status as one of the brightest stars in the industry. Despite such massive success, the 22-year-old singer quickly went back to the studio to craft new music.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Benson revealed that he was ready to move beyond “Beautiful Things,” wanting to show more of his artistry. Weeks later, during his performance at Coachella 2025, the singer delighted fans by announcing his sophomore album, American Heart.

Inspirations Behind American Heart

Benson Boone revealed that he wrote this entire new body of work in just 17 days with his longtime collaborator Jack LaFrantz, who co-wrote several tracks on his debut album. For American Heart, Benson was inspired by music legends like Bruce Springsteen. The singer revealed that The Boss was a huge source of inspiration, while also drawing from Americana music.
