Billboard has just unveiled the highly-anticipated list of nominees for the 2023 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs). Taylor Swift leads the pack with a staggering 20 nominations. Among her nominations are Top Female Artist and Top Billboard 200 Album with “Midnights.” Joining Taylor Swift in the top ranks of nominees are Morgan Wallen and SZA, both with a tally of 17 nods each.
Bad Bunny and Peso Pluma are the most nominated among Latin artists, with six nominations each, while NewJeans are the most nominated K-Pop act (five nods). Notably, among first time nominated is Ice Spice, who is up for Top New Artist.
With 29 wins under her belt, Taylor Swift stands as the female artist with the most victories in the history of the Billboard Music Awards. Now, with 20 more nominations in her name, she is poised to not only extend her record but also potentially claim the title of the all-time top winner, surpassing Drake, who currently holds 34 wins. The rapper also earned several nominations for the 2023 BBMAs.
As the 2023 Billboard Music Awards takes center stage, there’s an intriguing twist in the format. This year, the ceremony will be delivered in a digital-only show, departing from the traditional television broadcast. The show will take place on Sunday, November 19.
