BLACKPINK have done it again — this time setting a Spotify record that few artists in the world can claim. All four members — JISOO, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa — have now each surpassed 1 billion solo streams on Spotify, marking a historic moment not only for the group but for K-pop as a whole.

JISOO is the latest member to reach the milestone, following the success of her 2025 solo EP Amortage. The project debuted at No. 1 on South Korea’s Circle Album Chart and received critical acclaim for its diverse sound and emotional depth. With hits like “Earthquake” and “Your Love,” the EP’s success pushed JISOO past the billion-stream mark. More recently, she also teamed up with Zayn on the hit single “Eyes Closed.”

Her bandmates had already crossed the threshold with their own acclaimed projects. Jennie’s Ruby, released earlier this year, became one of the highest-selling and most-streamed K-pop solo albums ever. The record debuted in the top 10 in 19 countries, earning her multiple chart-topping singles such as “Mantra” and “Like Jennie.”

Rosé’s Rosie era was equally groundbreaking. The album, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, made her the highest-charting K-pop female soloist in history. Its lead single, “Apt.” — a collaboration with Bruno Mars — topped the Billboard Global 200, earning Rosé two Guinness World Records and breaking multiple streaming records.

Meanwhile, Lisa made waves with her energetic 2024 album Alter Ego, featuring the viral hit “Rockstar.” The track earned Lisa her first RIAA Gold certification in the U.S. and topped the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, making her the first Thai artist to achieve the feat. In addition, Alter Ego spawned several hit singles, including “Born Again” with RAYE and Doja Cat, and “New Woman” with Rosalía.

Together, BLACKPINK’s solo achievements form one of the rarest milestones in modern pop: every member of a group individually surpassing one billion Spotify streams. For context, this is a feat even most Western pop groups have never achieved.

Now, BLINKs are eagerly waiting for BLACKPINK’s comeback album. Last summer, the group launched the Deadline World Tour and kicked off their new era with the infectious track “Jump.” Since then, they’ve teased their third studio album, with rumors of a November release spreading among fans. In addition, Lisa has revealed on multiple occasions that, despite their solo duties, the members have been working on new music together.
