BLACKPINK fans can finally mark their calendars — a comeback is on the horizon. YG Entertainment has confirmed that the group’s long-awaited third studio album is set to arrive in early 2026, marking the global superstars’ first full-length project in over three years. The label addressed ongoing speculation about the release date, explaining that the album is in its final stages of completion.
“The album is at the last stage to increase musical perfection. As soon as we are ready, we will be able to tell you good news through the official promotion,” YG Entertainment said in a new statement.

Though early reports suggested that the record would drop in November 2025, the new timeline confirms that BLACKPINK’s comeback will instead launch at the start of the new year. The news comes as Blinks — the group’s passionate global fanbase — continue to celebrate the success of “Jump,” their chart-topping comeback single released last summer.
While the group is currently on the Asian leg of the Deadline World Tour, a new song is expected to drop soon alongside a music video. Previously, YG announced that the group was filming a music video for a new track during the tour. In addition, during a recent fan interaction outside the First Ride premiere in Seoul, JISOO offered an exciting update that added fuel to the anticipation. “Comeback preparations…? It’s almost done! We filmed the music video,” she revealed. “You’re surprised, right? I’m surprised too! Wow.”
According to YG Entertainment, JENNIE, LISA, JISOO, and ROSÉ have been filming the music video throughout October and November, working closely with the production team to ensure the visuals match the group’s high standards. “To deliver the best results, both the members and staff will do their utmost until the end of the schedule,” the company added in a previous statement.
The group’s last full-length project, Born Pink, arrived in 2022 and became a global phenomenon, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 — the first album by a female group to achieve that feat since 2008. The record also spawned two major hits, “Pink Venom” and “Shut Down.”
Earlier this year, the quartet returned with “Jump,” their first single in three years. The song debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 and earned the group their tenth entry on the Billboard Hot 100. It also received three nominations at the 2025 MAMA Awards, including Song of the Year.
