Cardi B is keeping the momentum going. Just days after releasing her long-awaited sophomore album Am I The Drama?, the Grammy-winning rapper has surprised fans with a brand-new bonus track titled “Doing Too Much.” The song, available now on streaming platforms, expands the album’s tracklist and adds even more fuel to the fire surrounding her reignited feud with fellow rapper JT.

On the track, Cardi doesn’t hold back. Over a hard-hitting beat, she raps, “Bitches stealin’ my style, hoes really tryna rob me”—a line that listeners are already dissecting as a possible jab at her peers in the rap industry. The timing of the release has only heightened speculation, given that it comes less than two hours after her heated online back-and-forth with JT went viral.

The feud reignited when JT reposted a viral report alleging that NFL player Stefon Diggs had threatened to harm a man following an alleged sexual encounter. Sharing the video of accuser Chris Blake Griffith, JT went further with her own accusations, writing: “CARDI B BABY FATHER A GAY MAN!!!!!!!!!! Not because of how he dress or express his self but because CHRIS said it out of his mouth!!!! JUSTICE FOR CHRIS I stand with the gays!!!!!”

Cardi responded quickly on X, dismissing Griffith’s story as false: “Chris lied because he was stealing and got caught.. there’s receipts for that. He lied on Gervonta Davis too and changed the story 1000 times.”

Despite the drama, Cardi B is on the verge of making chart history. Early industry projections show Am I The Drama? is pacing for around 205,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. If confirmed, it will debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, making Cardi the first female rapper ever to score back-to-back No. 1 albums following the success of her 2018 debut Invasion of Privacy.
