Charli xcx has canceled her scheduled October 21 concert in Glendale, Arizona, after battling illness throughout her Music, Fashion, Film Tour and losing her voice. The British pop star announced the cancellation in a personal message to fans, apologizing to those who had planned to attend and confirming that refunds would be available.

“arizona angels i am so so sorry to say we have to cancel tomorrow’s music fashion film show,” Charli wrote. “i have been fighting sickness throughout this run of shows and have now completely lost my voice.” The Grammy-winning singer explained that she puts everything into her performances, both physically and emotionally, making the decision particularly difficult.

According to Charli xcx, her team attempted to find an alternative date but was ultimately unable to reschedule the show. She promised to return to Arizona in the future and confirmed that Ticketmaster customers would receive automatic refunds, while other ticket holders could request their money back at their original point of purchase.

The cancellation comes during the North American leg of Charli’s Music, Fashion, Film Tour, which began September 11 in Philadelphia. The run has included several high-profile moments, particularly her two Los Angeles-area performances at the Kia Forum on October 17 and 18. During the first show, she brought out Chappell Roan to perform “Boom Clap,” while PinkPantheress joined her for “Stateside” and The Dare appeared for “Guess.” ADÉLA also made a surprise appearance during the second night.

Those performances have helped make the tour a major moment for Charli as she continues promoting her eighth studio album, Music, Fashion, Film, released July 24. The record followed the cultural impact of 2024’s Brat and her February 2026 Wuthering Heights soundtrack, introducing a sound with more prominent rock textures alongside her familiar experimental electronic production and sharp pop hooks.

Music, Fashion, Film debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with 78,000 equivalent album units, including 57,000 pure sales. The result marked Charli’s biggest opening week in the United States and her fourth career Top 10 on the chart. In the UK, the album debuted at No. 1.

With the Arizona date canceled, Charli is now focusing on recovery ahead of the tour’s scheduled North American finale at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on October 23. “i am now resting ahead of the final show in vegas this friday,” she wrote. “i want to be back onstage and finish this tour together with you.”

Charli xcx also acknowledged the effort involved in attending a concert, apologizing to fans who had arranged their schedules around the Glendale performance. “i know how much time, planning, and care it takes to come to concerts and appreciate everyone’s support immensely,” she wrote. Following the Las Vegas show, Charli is expected to take a break before the UK and European leg begins in 2027, with dates planned across cities including Dublin, Glasgow, Manchester, London, Amsterdam and Paris.
