Charli xcx has revealed the complete tracklist for her upcoming sixth studio album Music, Fashion, Film, which is set to release on July 24. The British pop innovator unveiled the 11-song collection through a series of posts on X/Twitter on Tuesday (July 7), sharing each track title alongside its official runtime.

The announcement continues an unconventional rollout for Music, Fashion, Film, a project that follows the massive cultural impact of BRAT and finds Charli moving toward a more experimental sound. Instead of recreating the club-driven formula that defined her previous era, the singer has positioned the new album as a creative reset built around alternative pop, electronic textures, rock influences and sharper conceptual songwriting.

Charli began teasing the album earlier this year with the release of “Rock Music” and “SS26,” two tracks that immediately signaled a shift away from the straightforward dance-pop identity associated with BRAT. The campaign expanded with “Wink Wink,” the album’s third single, which arrived one month before the record’s release date and introduced another layer of playful, self-aware writing.

The rollout has also included a series of unconventional previews designed to create anticipation without revealing the full project too early. Earlier this week, Charli shared handwritten lyric excerpts from every song on her private B-side Instagram account, offering fans fragments that ranged from comedic observations to more vulnerable reflections on identity, relationships and self-image.

Among the most discussed snippets was a lyric passage from “Card Declined,” which read: “I’ll buy some jewelry / a personality / a whole backstory… card declined.” Another excerpt explored emotional uncertainty and the search for experiences that feel dangerous, while a separate preview featured Charli reflecting on friendship, creativity and intimacy.

The tracklist reveal arrives just one day after Charli announced “The Listening Events,” a global series of exclusive album previews taking place in independent cinemas from July 9 through July 11. Fans in cities including New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Berlin, Tokyo, Sydney, São Paulo and Milan will have the opportunity to hear Music, Fashion, Film before its official release.

The new album also arrives amid continued discussion around Charli’s evolving artistic direction following BRAT’s unprecedented success. Earlier this year, her comment that “the dance floor is dead” sparked widespread debate after appearing in a British Vogue interview, though she later clarified that the statement referred to her own creative process rather than a criticism of dance music as a genre.

Speaking with Rolling Stone, Charli explained that she still believes electronic and dance-adjacent music is thriving, pointing to artists such as Slayyyter, and PinkPantheress as examples of the genre’s continued strength.
