Ariana Grande has surprised fans with a new digital release tied to her new album. Just days after petal arrived, the singer unveiled the “hello, i love to sing” edition of the title track, giving listeners an exclusive package that is currently only available through iTunes.
Released on August 4, the special edition arrives shortly after Grande’s Chicago stop on the Eternal Sunshine Tour, where she reassured fans that her upcoming public hiatus had been planned long before its announcement. The release also extends the momentum of petal, which has already become one of 2026’s biggest commercial success albums.
The “hello, i love to sing” version includes the original studio recording of “petal” alongside two exclusive live performances from the current tour: “stay” and “oh well.” Both songs appear on Ariana Grande’s new album and were recently introduced to audiences during the tour, offering fans alternate versions unavailable on streaming services.
The title track has quickly become one of the defining songs of the new era. Blending R&B with hip-hop and pop-rock influences, “petal” pairs distorted synths, guitars, and booming bass with lyrics centered on resilience, self-worth, and navigating public scrutiny. Grande first performed the song live during the Montreal stop of the Eternal Sunshine Tour before the album’s July 31 release.
At the moment, the release is exclusive to the iTunes Store. Fans can purchase it by searching “petal hello, i love to sing” or “petal – hello, i love to sing” directly within iTunes. It is available as a digital download rather than a streaming-exclusive release, meaning it has not yet been added to Spotify, Apple Music, or other major subscription platforms.
The bonus release follows an extraordinary opening weekend for petal. The album generated 62.19 million Spotify streams worldwide on its first day, while every one of its 12 songs debuted simultaneously on the Daily Global Spotify Chart. The title track opened at No. 1 with 7.822 million streams.
Commercially, the project is expected to continue its strong run. Early projections indicate petal is on pace to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with more than 300,000 equivalent album units, which would mark the second biggest opening week of Ariana Grande’s career and one of the largest album debuts of 2026.
