Ella Langley has reached another historic milestone with “Choosin’ Texas.” The country hit has extended its record-breaking run atop the Billboard Hot 100 to 26 weeks, becoming the first song in the chart’s history to spend half a year at No. 1.

On the chart dated November 7, 2026, “Choosin’ Texas” adds another week to a reign that began on the February 14 ranking, meaning the song has remained at the summit from Valentine’s Day through the period immediately following Halloween. Its latest achievement puts Langley further ahead of every other song to top the Hot 100 since the chart launched in August 1958.

Before Ella Langley’s historic run, Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” held the record with 22 weeks at No. 1, accumulated across its seasonal returns between 2019 and 2026. “Choosin’ Texas” has now surpassed that mark by four weeks, establishing a new benchmark for longevity at the top of the all-genre singles chart.

The achievement also extends the song’s record for the most calendar months in which a track has reached No. 1 on the Hot 100. “Choosin’ Texas” has topped the chart in nine different months during 2026: February, March, April, May, July, August, September, October and November. No other song has matched that total. Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” and Harry Styles’ “As It Was” share second place in that particular category, each reaching No. 1 in six different months.
