Tinashe is making it clear that she has no interest in keeping fans who take issue with her political views. The singer responded bluntly to conservative listeners criticizing her Election Day message, telling one fan, “Yall can go,” before dismissing another’s concerns about losing Republican supporters with an equally direct “I do not care.”

The exchange began on Election Day 2026, when Tinashe encouraged Americans to vote with the post “VOTE OR DIE ! LETS GO AMERICA,” followed by a long string of blue heart emojis. The choice of hearts was widely interpreted as a show of support for Democrats ahead of the midterm elections, prompting a reaction from a conservative fan.

A user named Janet (@PhillyJanet) quote-tweeted the post, arguing that the blue hearts were alienating Tinashe’s Republican audience. “you literally just refuse to listen to those of us with sense. did you have to have the blue hearts…alienating your red audience? girl, are you neurodivergent? it gets to a point…” she wrote.

Tinashe did not attempt to soften her response. Instead, she replied with five words and a peace-sign emoji: “Yall can go.”

Another user then challenged the singer over the potential financial consequences of publicly dismissing conservative fans. “You do realize there is no telling how much money your Republican fans have given you right? Or you do realize it and just don’t give a fuck… They still listen to you even though they don’t agree with your views because they respect you and love you and you turn around and tell them to get out. What a great person. Lol will never listen to you again,” the user wrote.

Her answer was just as short: “I do not care.”
