Since launching in 2020, InMusic has invited fans to vote each month for their favorite new release through a 16-song bracket on our Instagram Stories. This interactive tradition has become a fun and insightful way to track the pulse of our music-loving community. In the first half of 2025, pop has clearly dominated the landscape—and notably, every monthly winner so far has been led by a female artist. February: “Abracadabra” by Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga returned in full spectacle mode with “Abracadabra,” a theatrical electro-pop banger from her critically acclaimed album Mayhem. Accompanied by a striking music video that channels her Born This Way era, the song debuted at the Grammy Awards and quickly became one of the standout tracks of the year.
March: “Twilight Zone” by Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande expanded her latest album Eternal Sunshine with the Brighter Days Ahead edition, which introduced the new single “Twilight Zone.” The track reflects on a past relationship with stripped-down production and ethereal vocals, cementing it as one of 2025’s most compelling songs.
April: “End of the World” by Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus ventured into new sonic territory with “End of the World,” featured on her first visual album Something Beautiful. A disco-infused Europop track, it blends rich ’70s piano chords with live strings to create a bittersweet, defiant anthem about embracing life amid chaos.
May: “Just Keep Watching (From F1)” by Tate McRae
Tate McRae is the only artist to appear twice on this list. “Just Keep Watching,” from the F1 soundtrack, is a high-energy pop-club track with pulsing beats and cinematic intensity—perfectly capturing the adrenaline of the racetrack.
June: “Manchild” by Sabrina Carpenter
After dominating 2024 with “Espresso,” Sabrina Carpenter returns with “Manchild,” a witty synth-pop anthem from her Man’s Best Friend era. The track delivers a playful yet pointed critique of immaturity, making it an early contender for 2025’s song of the summer. Fun fact: this marks Sabrina’s second June win in a row, following “Please Please Please” in 2024.
