The Path to Eusexua
Eusexua continues FKA Twigs’ journey into new creative territories. This marks her first full-length project since 2019’s Magdalene. The album draws inspiration from her immersion in Prague’s techno scene while filming The Crow. While not strictly a techno album, Eusexua embodies the genre’s spirit, channeling the freedom and communal energy of the dancefloor into a refined avant-pop vision.
To bring this concept to life, the 37-year-old artist collaborated with producers deeply rooted in the electronic music scene, including Eartheater, Koreless, and Marius de Vries. In announcing the album, Twigs shared:
“Eusexua has been my practice during the years of its creation. It is my opus and feels like a pin at the core of my artistry. Eusexua was birthed in chicken scratch, written on the back of my hand in a toilet at a rave in Prague: ‘this room of fools WE MAKE SOMETHING TOGETHER.’ And we do. We rave, we sweat, we kiss, we make love to the booming thud of culture. Eusexua is a practice. Eusexua is a state of being. Eusexua is the pinnacle of human experience.”
Twigs has fully embraced this new chapter with a bold hairstyle. Known as a “skullet,” the look features clean-shaven sides and top, contrasted with long, textured hair at the back.
Looking ahead, Twigs will embark on a world tour to support Eusexua, kicking off on March 8 in Prague. She’s also slated to perform at the Coachella festival in April.
