Olivia Rodrigo has officially confirmed that Saturday Night Live won’t just feature a performance of her chart-topping comeback single — it will also introduce an entirely unheard song from her next album. During her April 30 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Rodrigo revealed that alongside “Drop Dead,” she plans to debut brand-new material live for the first time on May 2.

Fallon directly asked the question fans were waiting for: “Can you tell us what you will be performing on Saturday Live?” Rodrigo answered without hesitation: “Yeah, I’m gonna be singing ‘Drop Dead’ and then a brand-new one that no one has heard of.”

That brief confirmation immediately raises the stakes for what was already shaping up to be one of the most significant promotional weekends of her career. Rodrigo is not only serving as musical guest, but also hosting SNL.

“Drop Dead,” released April 17 as the lead single from You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making Rodrigo the first artist in chart history whose lead singles from their first three studio albums all opened atop the chart.

Her Fallon appearance also arrived just hours after announcing The Unraveled Tour, a 65-date global arena run beginning September 25 in Hartford, Connecticut.
