FLO have officially delayed the release of their sophomore album, Therapy At The Club. The London trio shared the news directly with fans in a video message, revealing that member Jorja Douglas will undergo precautionary vocal cord surgery, pushing the album’s release to August 7, 2026.
Jorja Douglas, Renée Downer and Stella Quaresma appeared together to explain the decision, emphasizing that the surgery is not a major cause for concern but that the postponement will allow them to fully deliver the era they envisioned.
“Hello, we have some important news. We will be releasing our album on August the 7th,” the group said before Jorja added, “I will be having surgery on my vocal cord. Nothing to worry about, precautionary.”
The trio explained that they wanted enough time to complete the rollout, including live performances and vocal moments, before Jorja temporarily steps away to recover.
“We have so many amazing ideas for this album and the rollout and vocal moments. We wanted performances. We wanted a bit more time to be able to execute those things before Jorja’s surgery, which is why we pushed the album back,” they said.
Recognizing fans’ disappointment, FLO also announced a consolation gift. A brand-new single will arrive on July 24, 2026, giving listeners fresh music while they wait for the album.
“We understand that you guys might be sad about it, so are we, but to remedy the situation, we will have a new single dropping on July 24th. Hang in there, guys. It’s going to be worth the wait. It really is. We love you so, so much. Thank you for being patient.”
Therapy At The Club was originally announced in May alongside its title track and had initially been scheduled for a July release. The 16-track project follows FLO’s acclaimed debut album, Access All Areas, which arrived in November 2024 and debuted at No. 3 on the Official UK Albums Chart with 9,500 first-week units. The release also became the highest-charting debut by a British R&B girl group in more than 20 years, topped the UK R&B Albums Chart and reached No. 163 on the Billboard 200.
Momentum has continued throughout 2026. March single “Leak It” became FLO’s highest-charting release to date, while songs including “HaterBooth” generated buzz after being previewed during the trio’s NPR Tiny Desk performance earlier this year. The group’s latest era has been built around the concept of “girls bathroom therapy on a night out,” pairing polished R&B harmonies with neon-inspired visuals.
