The nominations for the 36th Annual GLAAD Media Awards have been announced, spanning 33 categories across journalism, entertainment, music, and more. The ceremony highlights LGBTQ stories and creatives, with notable nominees including Abbott Elementary, Lil Nas X: Long Live Montero, RuPaul’s Drag Race, The Umbrella Academy, and Elton John. Special honors will be awarded to DRAG: The Musical, Red Ink: A Tribute to Cecilia Gentili, and the WNBA 2024 Champions, the New York Liberty.
Two categories focus on music artists. Notable nominees include Billie Eilish for her latest album Hit Me Hard and Soft and the legendary Elton John for Never Too Late: Soundtrack to the Disney+ Documentary.
