The Golden Disc Awards are officially kicking off the 2026 awards season. On November 25, the nominations for the 40th Annual Golden Disc Awards were unveiled, highlighting the standout achievements in K-Pop released between November 2024 and early November 2025. This year’s list reflects both the genre’s global expansion and the increasing impact of solo projects, with several top acts earning multiple nods across major categories.
Aespa scored two nominations. The group earned a Digital Song Division Bonsang nomination for “Dirty Work,” as well as an additional nod for Album Division Bonsang with Rich Man. BLACKPINK’s Jennie also secured two nominations for her solo work. Her single “Like Jennie” is up for Digital Song Division Bonsang, while her debut solo album Ruby competes for Album Division Bonsang.
Several other major names also received two nominations. Fourth-generation leaders IVE continue their momentum with recognition in both the Digital Song and Album categories. SEVENTEEN, long regarded as one of K-Pop’s top-selling acts, earned two nominations as well. Hearts2Hearts and G-Dragon rounded out the list of artists securing multiple nods.
The 40th Golden Disc Awards will take place on January 10, 2026, at the Taipei Dome, one of Asia’s largest and most anticipated venues for major entertainment events. Sung Si Kyung and Mun Ka Young will host the ceremony. Organizers confirmed that the performer lineup will be revealed between November 26 and 27, building excitement ahead of the show.
