Singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams has never shied away from expressing her admiration for Taylor Swift. In a new interview with Cosmopolitan, she made it clear just how much she respects Taylor’s influence on music and culture. While discussing the Midnights singer’s legacy, Gracie emphasized that no man has come close to shaping pop culture the way Taylor has. “Taylor is an athlete, a brilliant businessperson, and a genius writer,” Gracie said. “She’s a grounded human being who makes time for everyone in her life. It’s been really cool to be in the orbit of a person like her. There’s also nothing that comes close to what she has done. People will still gaslight her and her capabilities and all this s**t. But please point me to one man who has come close to defining pop culture in this way. There is nothing! But people are not ready for that conversation.

This is not the first time the 25-year-old singer has spoken highly of her idol. In a recent interview with The Times, Gracie revealed that Taylor is her mentor, recalling the first time they met. “When I met her, it kind of felt like we had known each other already, which I’m sure was partly due to the parasocial relationship. I’ve grown up with her voice in my headphones my entire life,” she said. Gracie also added, “Taylor is a safe place to land any time I’ve had questions about anything.”
