It’s been a week since Ariana Grande released her seventh studio album, “Eternal Sunshine.” The album has received critical acclaim and has been highly appreciated by fans, who are already naming it Album of the Year. All its tracks have charted on the Daily Global Spotify Chart as well as the iTunes US chart. On Spotify, its second single, “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait For Your Love),” has occupied the top spot for the last six days, with a continuous increase in streams that has led the song to gather more than 9 million streams in 24 hours. The high attention surrounding the album translated into a strong first week, as “Eternal Sunshine” debuted with 342.162 million streams and an average of 3.760 million streams per song every day.

As mentioned, the album amassed more than 340 million streams, so multiplying that sum by 0.004, we can estimate that ‘Eternal Sunshine’ earned approximately $1,368,648. Obviously, not the entire sum goes to Ariana Grande. Firstly, the album was released through Republic Records, and obviously, we can’t know how much the label takes. However, record labels usually take between 50 and 90 percent of an artist’s earnings.
