The InMusic Song of the Summer 2026 bracket has reached its final battle, with Olivia Rodrigo’s “Stupid Song” facing Ariana Grande’s “Hate That I Made You Love Me” for the title. After starting with 32 songs, the competition has been narrowed down to two of pop’s biggest stars, setting up a final matchup that also marks the third time Rodrigo and Grande have faced each other in an InMusic fan-voted competition this year.
The rivalry between the two songs has already produced two very different results. In May, Olivia Rodrigo’s “The Cure” faced Ariana Grande’s “Hate That I Made You Love Me” for the InMusic Song of the Month title, with Rodrigo ultimately taking the win. Months later, the same two tracks met again in the semifinals of the Song of the Summer bracket, but Grande turned the result around and secured her place in the final.

Rodrigo now enters the championship round with “Stupid Song,” one of two tracks she had alive in Round 4. Her other contender, “The Cure,” was eliminated in the semifinal matchup, leaving “Stupid Song” as her final chance to claim the summer title. The song’s run also adds another chapter to the momentum surrounding her third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 485,000 equivalent album units.
Grande, meanwhile, has kept “Hate That I Made You Love Me” alive through every stage of the bracket. The song survived its initial matchup, the Round 4 stage and then another meeting with “The Cure” to become the second finalist. Its progression gives Grande an opportunity to turn an earlier loss to Rodrigo into a championship victory.
The road to the final has featured a wide range of major releases. Taylor Swift, Tyla, Zara Larsson, KATSEYE, LISA, Karol G, Shakira, Burna Boy and several other major names were represented during the earlier rounds, while rising star ADÉLA became one of the competition’s biggest surprise contenders with “Ain’t In LA.” The Slovak singer-songwriter reached the final four before being eliminated, leaving Rodrigo and Grande as the last two artists standing.
Now, there is no bracket to navigate and no room for another comeback. The InMusic Song of the Summer 2026 final is a direct showdown between “Stupid Song” and “Hate That I Made You Love Me,” with fans deciding which track takes the title.
Voting takes place through InMusic’s Instagram Stories, where fans can choose between the two finalists. The final result will determine the winner of the 2026 competition after more than 30 songs were eliminated across the previous rounds. After such a long run of matchups, the question is now simple: will Olivia Rodrigo reclaim the momentum of their earlier showdown, or will Ariana Grande complete her comeback and take the Song of the Summer crown?
