Jennie has officially made history. The BLACKPINK star and solo artist has become the first K-pop soloist to earn multiple RIAA-certified songs in the United States.
This week, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) announced that “Like JENNIE” and “Mantra” have both been certified Gold, marking over 500,000 units sold each in the U.S. They join her earlier certification for “One of the Girls” (with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp), giving Jennie a total of three certified singles — the most ever for a K-pop soloist.

The recognition comes on the heels of her massively successful debut studio album, Ruby, which dropped on March 7 through Odd Atelier and Columbia Records. Collaborating with names like El Guincho, Diplo, Mike Will Made-It, Dua Lipa, Dominic Fike, and Childish Gambino, Jennie crafted a record that blends pop, hip-hop, and R&B.
Commercially, Ruby was equally successful. The album debuted in the top 10 in 19 countries, including the U.S., U.K., and South Korea, while breaking records for first-week sales by a K-pop female soloist in her home country. In South Korea alone, it sold more than 660,000 copies in its first week and later achieved triple platinum certification from the KMCA. Its singles also performed strongly worldwide: “Mantra” peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Global 200, while “Like JENNIE” landed at No. 5 and earned her another No. 1 on the Circle Digital Chart.
Now, Jennie has returned to the stage with BLACKPINK alongside Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé, as the group’s Deadline World Tour visits major stadiums across the globe. The group came back in full force with an infectious new single, “Jump,” and is now gearing up to release their long-awaited third album, the follow-up to the massive Born Pink (2022).
