It happened again—BLACKPINK have made history. Lisa has officially earned her first U.S. certification as a solo artist, with her 2024 global hit “Rockstar” going RIAA Gold for selling more than 500,000 units. The milestone marks a defining moment not only for Lisa’s solo career but also for BLACKPINK as a group, cementing their dominance as trailblazers in the global music industry.

With this latest achievement, Lisa becomes the third BLACKPINK member to earn a U.S. certification, joining Jennie and Rosé. Jennie currently holds three certifications: “Like Jennie” (Gold), “Mantra” (Gold), and “One of the Girls” (Platinum, with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp). Rosé made history earlier this year when her single “APT.” became the first by a K-Pop soloist to go 2x Platinum, while her debut solo tracks “On the Ground” (Platinum) and “Gone” (Gold) also remain certified.

Now with Lisa’s “Rockstar” joining the ranks, BLACKPINK become the first K-Pop group in history to have three members achieve RIAA certifications for their solo music—a record that no other act, male or female, has accomplished.

Released in June 2024, “Rockstar” quickly became a global smash. The track debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., with 94.2 million streams and 44,000 sales outside the U.S. in its first week. This made Lisa the first Thai artist—and the first artist outside of a primarily English-speaking country—to top the chart in 2024. The debut also set a record for the most weekly streams for a Global Excl. U.S. hit by a non-American artist that year.

On the Billboard Global 200, “Rockstar” debuted at No. 4, becoming Lisa’s third top-10 hit after “Lalisa” and “Money.” In the U.S., the single entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 70, marking Lisa’s highest-charting entry to date, and later climbed to No. 37 on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart, making her only the second BLACKPINK member after Jennie to appear on the chart. Beyond charts, “Rockstar” also brought Lisa awards success, winning Best K-Pop at the MTV Video Music Awards.
