Bruno Mars is hoping to bring ROSÉ back onstage for a special performance of “APT.” when he heads to South Korea next year. In a recent interview, the singer jokingly called on his collaborator to join him at his May 2027 concerts in Goyang, while admitting that she may now be too “expensive” to book.
“I got to get Rosie up there. Rosie, if you’re listening, if you’re watching, what I have to do for me and you to do ‘APT.’ in Korea? That would be a full circle moment,” Mars said. “Only if I can afford her. She’s expensive these days. She doesn’t even answer my calls.”
Bruno Mars announced four solo concerts at Goyang Stadium in South Korea for May 2027 as part of his ongoing The Romantic Tour. The shows would give the singer an opportunity to reunite with ROSÉ in the country where the song’s inspiration originated, making a live performance of “APT.” particularly fitting.
The pair have already shared several major stages since releasing the collaboration. Earlier this year, ROSÉ and Mars opened the 2026 Grammy Awards with a high-energy performance of the global smash, bringing the song’s rock-inspired production to one of music’s biggest televised stages.
Released on October 18, 2024, “APT.” served as the lead single from ROSÉ’s debut studio album, Rosie. The song was inspired by the South Korean drinking game apateu, with its instantly recognizable chorus built around the rhythmic chant associated with the game.
Its commercial impact quickly expanded far beyond South Korea. “APT.” spent 12 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 and finished as the No. 1 song on the chart’s 2025 year-end ranking. The track also reached No. 1 on South Korea’s Circle Digital Chart for 10 weeks and topped charts in more than 50 countries.
The song became an especially significant milestone for ROSÉ as a solo artist. It was the first song by a K-pop female soloist to top Australia’s ARIA Singles Chart and reached the top three of both the U.S. and U.K. singles charts, making ROSÉ the first K-pop female act to achieve either feat.
According to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, “APT.” was the best-selling global single of 2025. Its success also marked the first time an artist from outside North America or Europe topped the IFPI Global Single Chart, while the song became the first track containing non-English lyrics to claim the global singles crown.
Beyond the charts, the collaboration became a streaming and awards powerhouse. “APT.” became the fastest song by a K-pop artist to reach one billion Spotify streams and the fastest music video by an Asian act to reach one billion views on YouTube. The track also earned three Grammy nominations, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
