BLACKPINK’s JISOO is opening up about her experience working with Zayn Malik, following the release of their emotional new duet, “Eyes Closed.” The song, which dropped on Friday (October 10) via Blissoo and Warner Records, has already made waves across streaming platforms — and now, JISOO is giving fans a glimpse into what the collaboration meant to her.
In a new post shared on Instagram, JISOO wrote, “Something very special we’ve been working on is finally out. I hope this song reaches many hearts. JISOO’s post also included a series of behind-the-scenes photos featuring her and Zayn. “Eyes Closed” marks the first-ever team-up between the BLACKPINK member and the former One Direction singer. Built around the haunting lyric “we should fall in love with our eyes closed,” the track reflects both artists’ shared ability to blend intimacy with grandeur.
The collaboration reportedly began after Zayn attended BLACKPINK’s Deadline World Tour earlier this year with his daughter, leading to a creative connection that later became “Eyes Closed.” The track debuted in the top three on U.S. iTunes and has been trending globally since its release.
For JISOO, the single follows her successful solo debut with Amortage, released earlier this year through her own label, Blissoo.
