KATSEYE’s Manon has addressed a viral video that sparked widespread speculation about tension within the group, clarifying that her frustration was never directed at her fellow members. The clip, filmed at a recent hi-touch/autograph session during the Beautiful Chaos Tour, spread rapidly across social media around December 6–7. In the short video, Manon appears visibly upset while speaking to member Megan, leading some viewers to assume the group was arguing or experiencing internal conflict.
Those assumptions proved to be unfounded. In private Weverse DMs later shared across fan accounts, Manon explained the real cause of her frustration: a grown man in the crowd aggressively pushing fans—including children—to secure autographs he intended to resell. Her message was direct and lighthearted, but firm in shutting down the rumors. “Lmao friends. The girls aren’t fighting! I was really upset because there was a grown man in the crowd who wasn’t even a fan, just shoving people including kids to get autographs he could resell later,” she wrote.
She emphasized that fan safety has always been the group’s top priority, and she was reacting to what she viewed as a potentially dangerous situation. Fans reviewing the original footage pointed out that Manon could be seen mouthing phrases such as “someone shoved them” and “that’s not safe,” which aligned perfectly with her clarification. What initially seemed like tension between members was simply a heated moment centered around protecting fans from inappropriate crowd behavior.
The incident occurred as KATSEYE continues their Beautiful Chaos Tour, which launched on November 15 in Minneapolis. The tour supports their second EP, Beautiful Chaos, and marks a milestone year for the group as they continue gaining momentum, even earning two Grammy nominations. The run is scheduled to conclude on December 16 in Mexico City.
